01 – Booking and Payment procedures.
Booking you can book one of our tour packages online by emailing a booking form including The name of your selected tour (by clicking Book below each tour of our organized tours).
N.B: Reservations should be made as early as possible, especially in the high season (Christmas, New Year & Easter) due to the high demand.
Kindly email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like us to customize the tour which is suiting your requirements & an answer will be sent to you as soon as we finalize it.
Full payment is required prior to your arrival. Once we receive the booking form, a payment request will be sent to you through your e-mail.
Payment can be made by Western Union fast money transfers or by wire transfer. Kindly be noted that the wire transfer incurs bank fees (on both sides). You will need to ensure your payment covers these fees. (Payment details will be sent to you as soon as you finalize your booking).
Once the payment will be received, a confirmation voucher will be sent to you with all your booking details and the pre departure information.
02 – Cancellation Policy.
Cancellation should be received in writing by e-mail or by fax. If the cancellation occurs after the payment is received a cancellation fees will be deducted from the total amount of the tours and the outstanding of the payment will be refunded:
45 days or more before arrival date USD 75.00 as cancellation fees will be applied.
44 – 25 days before arrival date 25 % cancellation fees will be applied.
24 – 19 days before arrival date 30 % cancellation fees will be applied.
18 – 08 days before arrival date 50 % cancellation fees will be applied.
07 days or less before arrival date 100% cancellation fees will be applied.
45 days before arrival date 10% cancellation fees will be applied.
44 -16 days before arrival date 25% cancellation fees will be applied.
15 -8 days before arrival date 50% cancellation fees will be applied.
07 days before arrival date 100% cancellation fees will be applied.
Except the premium periods:
Christmas & New Year period from 20/12 till 06/01 & Easter period from 25/03 till 16/04.
30 days before arrival date 25% cancellation fees will be applied.
25 days before arrival date 50% cancellation fees will be applied.
15 days before arrival date 100% cancellation fees will be applied.
03 – Unused Services.
Egypt unexpected is not responsible for any unused services (Tours, Accommodation & Meals) cannot refund any monies.
Egypt Unexpected reserves the right to replace hotels without prior notice to participants, where circumstances dictate, in this event alternative hotel will always be of a similar standard.
Accommodation levels & hotel ratings are slightly different in Egypt to general Western standards. We regularly inspect all the hotels we use to ensure that the service is as close as possible to your expectations.
All the rooms in our packages are standard rooms (if any other type of room is required by the client such as Nile View, Pyramids View, Superior or Executive room …etc, a supplement will be added).
The programs of the Nile Cruises may be changed without prior notice due to navigational circumstances.
The programs of the Nile Cruises may change in sequence but not in visits. Egypt Unexpected is not liable for these changes.
Egypt Unexpected takes a great care in choosing the suppliers, certainly we trust them but we do not control them, therefore we are not responsible for their acts or Omissions, so we can not assume responsibility for any claim, loss, damage, cost or expenses arising out of injury, accident or death, damage or loss or delay of baggage or other property, delay, inconvenience, loss of pay, upset, disappointments, distress or frustration (whether physical or mental ) resulting from:
– The acts of omission of any firm other than Egypt Unexpected.
– Mechanical breakdowns, governmental actions, war, weather, acts of nature and other factors beyond our control.
– Acts of Vandalism, Burglaries, Accidents, Injuries or any physical harm to your property or person.
Incase of having any problem whilst in Egypt, please inform your tour guide, your tour leader or your Egypt Unexpected representative immediately so that we can try to solve it & to put things right as most problems can be solved on the spot.

06 – Travel Insurance.
We strongly recommend and advise that you obtain travel insurance. Policies are available to cover loss or damage to luggage, medical emergencies that your regular insurance might not cover when you are overseas, travel interruption, trip cancellation and unforeseen expenses if you have to cancel your trip.
07 – Data Protection.
We need to use any information you have given us to provide the holiday you have asked for. We will apply appropriate security measures to protect this data; however, we must pass this to suppliers of your travel arrangements, security or credit checking companies and to public authorities such as customs and immigration. When you make this booking, you consent to this information being passed to the relevant people.
08 – Passenger responsibility.
Passenger has read the above terms and conditions and agrees to each of them. Passenger hereby warrants that they fully understand each of them. Specifically passenger understands that should he/she cancel their trip for any reason, passenger will be charged the cancellation fee set out in the “Cancellation Policy” section.
It is your responsibility to ensure that any specific passport, visa and health requirements required for your travel are obtained. We cannot be held responsible if you fail to do so and you will liable for meeting any additional costs incurred as a result of such failure. You are responsible for checking-in for flights at the correct time and for presenting yourself to take up all pre-booked components of your travel. We will have no liability whatsoever to you through your failure to do so.
